The Advanced Practitioners for the River Region includes advanced health care providers such as nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), certified nurse-midwives (CNMs), clinical nurse specialists, and students of discipline residing in the counties of the river regions of central Alabama including Montgomery, Lowndes, Elmore, Dallas, and Autauga.
